• Angular distributions of photo-electrons from free Na clusters
Phys. Rev. A (2010) in press
We explore, from a theoretical perspective, photo-electron angular distributions (PAD) of the Na clusters Na$_8$, Na$_10$, Na$_12$, Na$_18$, Na$_3^+$, Na$_11^+$, Na$_13^+$, and Na$_19^+$. Basis of the description is the time-dependent local-density approximation (TDLDA), augmented by a self-interaction correction (SIC) to describe ionization properties correctly. The scheme is solved on a numerical grid in coordinate space with absorbing bounds. We assume for each cluster system an (...)
• Orientation averaged angular distributions of photo-electrons from free Na clusters
Phys. Lett. A 375 (2010) 39
We explore, from a theoretical perspective, photo-electron angular distributions (PAD) of small Na clusters using the time-dependent local-density approximation (TDLDA). We assume an isotropic ensemble of free clusters and develop, for the case of one-photon emission, analytical formulae for the orientation averaged PAD which require only six TDLDA calculations in properly chosen reference frames. All information in the averaged PAD is contained in one anisotropy parameter. This parameter (...)
Annalen der Physik (2010) accepted
We present a generalized formulation of the Optimized Effective Potential (OEP) approach to the Self Interaction Correction (SIC) problem in Time Dependent (TD) Density Functional Theory (DFT). The formulation relies on the introduction of a double set of single electron orbitals. It allows the derivation of a generalized Slater approximation to the full OEP formulation, which extends the domain of validity of the standard Slater approximation. We discuss both formal aspects and practical (...)
