[violet]The Statistical Physics of Complex Systems group :[/violet]
The PhyStat group addresses problems arising in a wide range of domains : condensed matter physics, fluid mechanics, biophysics, soft condensed matter physics, astrophysics, stochastic processes, computer sciences, game theory, probability theory, geometry, physics of society...

- Maxwell’s demon (by G. Gamow)
- Out of equilibrium physics (dynamical phase transitions, phase separation, coarsening, glassy dynamics...)
- Disordered systems (glass, granular systems, spin glasses, diffusion and absorption in random media, porous media...)
- Physics of systems with long-range interactions (self-gravitating gas, turbulence in two dimensions and stratified fluids, kinetic theory of non-mixing systems, non-Boltzmannian quasi-stationary states, astrophysics...)
- Biophysics and soft condensed matter (protein diffusion, electropermeabilization of membranes, biological engines, electrolytes, polymer and DNA dynamics, membranes ...)
- Theory of probability and of stochastic processes and their applications (persistence, reaction-diffusion models, stochastic interfaces, chemotaxis, diffusion properties in biological systems, diffusion and absorption in random media, optimization problems...)
- Physics of society (game theory & theory of competition, collective motion in animal and human groups...)
