Multiband and multicritical Fermi surface topological transitions in correlated systems : the examples of URhGe and Sr3Ru2O7

Fermi surface topological (Lifshitz) transitions have gained much attention in recent years. After a general introduction, we will focus on two specific examples where recent theories based on Lifshitz transitions offered some answers to experimental questions more than a decade old. In particular we will discuss the cases of (i) ferromagnetic superconductor URhGe and (ii) the bilayer Sr3Ru2O7 which is a metamagnet with an additional spin density wave phase.
