Entanglement of identical particles : mathematical characterizations and practical applications

A more general and physically relevant definition of entanglement and nonlocality is given. Such definition is particularly useful in the framework of identical particles. Indeed, it allows to define entanglement independently by any a priori Hilbert space tensor product structure. Mathematical aspects and application to interferometry and noisy quantum information processing are discussed.
